Keeping Your Linen Closet in Order

posted on 4 May 2011 | posted in Home and Garden

Admit it, your linen closets don’t exactly contain just linen, right? Well, it’s the same for most people. Linen closets typically contain other things, like your stock of toiletries or maybe various cleaning products and implements. The term “linen closet” tends to become just another name for “stock room”. With all the things you keep in there, it’s no wonder that it can get pretty messy.

Keeping your closet in order can be hard, but once you do get it clean, you’ll find it much easier to find things in there. You won’t need to scavenge through several piles of linen just to get to the extra soap anymore!

The first step to keeping your closet orderly and neat is to clear it out. Get everything out of there and put them into groups linens together, toiletries, cleaning product, etc. Also, get rid of old, unused things. Throw out those ratty towels, expired shampoos and unused cleaners. Then, using some storage boxes or organizers, fix the items into your closet. Remember to keep cleaners and toiletries in separate places, away from the linens!
