How high tea can be a good party theme for high school students

Before I graduated high school, the schools guidance and counseling teacher called me in to her office and told me that I needed to participate in extra curricular activities because good graded only was not the only thing that would make me get accepted in college, but they also needed to know that I am an all round student. So I decided to join the student body that was involved in planning of school parties. I always thought that organizing and planning a school dance party was easy but I was clearly wrong because it involved a lot of planning and creativity. The committee was looking for a theme for the senior class' party coming up, they held a meeting to decide on a theme, the meeting was so long because they seemed to have exhausted all the ideas, that is when someone decided that in order of having a dance party that will cause the students to spike the drinks with alcohol, they should instead have a dinner party that served tea and food instead of snacks and soft drinks. They also decided that in order to make it even more interesting to make it an elegant affair where the students had to dress up. They went ahead and hired a high tea catering firm who in turn prepared an only meat menu and tea and helped them set up everything. The caterers even hired the china ware in bulk from a company that specialized in that. When the date of the dance neared, they became a little bit wary but when the students, teachers who were chaperoning enjoyed themselves and loved it they relaxed.
