I am having this conversation with a friend last night about the food cravings that affected her weight loss program. Although the conversation is stiff because why is facebook chat so slow, that we eventually told one another our goodbyes after I promise to analyze her food cravings. Being a nutritionist, part of the job is analyzing why clients cannot follow their fitness regimen and give recommendations so that clients will not give in to the urges. Some data analysis results to clients having skipped a part of their program and others calorie intake is drastically cut by their fitness trainers that the body perceives it and put the body in a fight or flight mode, a survival instinct that you do not want to happen during a fitness program. If you want to lose weight, drastic calorie cut off is a very dangerous way to go, the body will go haywire and will eventually lead you to meltdown. Losing weight should be in a systematic process, one pound a week is a good enough sign that you are slimming down. If you have reached a plateau stage, consider getting a break from your routine workout and try a new one. This will give other muscles or parts of the body the chance to tone.
